Biography

Hattie was born on Oct 11, 1853 in New York, in ether Delaware or Otsego county. She died in Lancaster, Erie County, New York in the care of her daughter on Oct 18, 1931 having lived 78 years and 7 days. She had 2 sisters, 1 who was born and died in 1867. The other, Stella 1881-1979, was adopted. She also had 4 brothers. Two, (Daniel 1859-1928 & Frederick 1875-1924) that she out lived.

She Married William Washington Harwood (1843-1909) Dec 31, 1885 most likely in Venango, Erie County, Pennsylvania. They located in Wattsburg, Erie County, Pennsylvania on the Harwood family dairy farm. After William's death Harriet moved back to Venango.
