A Record of John Budd's Family Image 1

John was born in 1759. He was the son of Elijah Budd and Hannah Ursty. On 14 Apr 1875 he married "Laner" Bloomer. [1]

It's possible he fought in the American Revolution in Brinckerhoff's Regiment, New York Militia, but uncertain as this source [2] only gives the name John Budd and Dutchess County and no other identifying information.

Hi Anne... I'm sorry, I don't. My mother got this one from her aunt back in the 50s or 60s, which explains the condition (Xerox). I tried to sharpened it a bit when I scanned it to make it easier to see. It helps to zoom in. :-\

I found A John Budd in the Dutchess County Militia - 2ND Regiment under COLONEL ABRAHAM BRINKERHOFF. See (https://www.americanwars.org/ny-american-revolution/dutchess-county-militia-second-regiment.htm)

There was a John Budd who came from Maine to the WestChester and Dutchess areas. It is mentioned in his revolutionary war papers which I glanced at years ago.
