Elizabeth was the daughter of Gilbert Budgell D.D. by his wife Mary Ann Gulston, Elizabeth married Thomas Graves in Exeter, Devon on 30 July 1723[1]. In the church at Antony, Cornwall there is a fine memorial, part of which reads "She was the sister of Eustace Budgell Esq. of St.Thomas near Exeter, granddaughter of William Gulston, Bishop of Bristol, and first cousin to Mr. Addison".
