Albert was born in 1843. He was the son of Benjamin Bunker and Zilphia Burns.
Albert Bunker may have been the Illegitimate son of Benjamin's daughter, Mary Ann Bunker, and raised at Benjamin and Zilphia's son. (per Civil War pension records).

Enlisted in Company D, Maine 31st Infantry Regiment on 11 Mar 1864. Mustered out on 30 Jul 1864 at Petersburg, VA.
He passed away in 1864. He was killed at Petersburg, Virginia. (During the Siege of Petersburg). He died in the Regimental Hospital from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Buried at: City Point National Cemetery, Hopewell, VA, Section F Site 1823. A memorial stone has also been placed at: Anderson-Bunker Cemetery, Trenton, Hancock County, Maine.
