Very Rev. John Burdett was the son of Samuel Burdett and Judith Evatt.
He was educated by Mr Jones of Kilkenny and entered Trinity College Dublin on 11 March 1673 [1674], aged 17. Sch 1676, B.A. 1678, M.A. 1681. [1]
He was collated Prebendary of Ballycahane (Limerick) on 4 May 1687 and admitted 11th August. He resigned in October, 1692.
He was presented by the Crown as Prebendary of Tipper (St Patrick's, Dublin) by patent dated 18 September 1691 and installed 5th October. In 1692 he was made Dean of Clonfert.
John married Margaret Cole, daughter of Sir John Cole, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Chichester, and widow of Col Thomas Lloyd.
Children
He died in July 1726, and was buried at St. Michan's, Dublin. [2]
