The BURFORD family was originally from Brockenhurst, but had been in Portsea until 1819 when they were subject to a parish examination and Removal Order (7/91819) back to Brockenhurst parish. 1
A possible marriage to Mary Batter 261811 at St Mary, Alverstoke (Gosport), Hampshire M073576. This is just across the entrance to Portsmouth harbour (across from St Mary Porsea, where children were christened.
