Daniel Burgess was born on the 21st of June, 1857 in Caledonia, New York, to Elwood Burgess and Mary Fox Burgess.

Sometime before 1883, he married Alice Culbertson, the mother of his two sons.

Son Charles E. Burgess was born about 1883.

Son Harold Culbertson Burgess was born on the 4th of July, 1884 in Caledonia, New York.

He married Elizabeth Sparks on October 7, 1896.

On the 7th of October, 1896 in Banquo, Huntington County, Indiana, Daniel F Burgess married Elizabeth Sparks. The marriage was officiated by H J Ketner.[1] Daniel was born in Caledonia, New York, son of Elwood Burgess and Mary Fox. Elizabeth was born right there in Banquo, daughter of John Sparks and Emma E Hale. It was her first marriage, his second.[2]

On the 6th of June, 1911 in La Fontaine, Wabash County, Indiana, Harold Culbertson Burgess, son of Daniel F Burgess and Alice Culbertson, married Eunice Lee Stewart, daughter of Chas E Stewart and Charlotte Collins. Harold was born 04 Jul 1884 in Caledonia, New York. Eunice resided in Wabash and had been born there on 29 May 1889. Both had their race listed as white.[3]

On the 20th of January, 1914 in Livingston, New York, C E Burgess, son of Daniel F Burgess and Alice Culbertson, married Julia E Stapley, daughter of H C Stapley and Mary E White. C E (Charlie) was 31 years old and Julia was 28.[4][5]

Daniel F Burgess was buried in La Fontaine IOOF Cemetery, La Fontaine, Wabash County, Indiana.[6]
