Lillian McKenna, 89, of St. Augustine, Fla., died Friday, Dec. 30, 2010, at Moultrie Creek. She was born Sept. 14, 1921, in Cranston, R.I. She was the beloved daughter of the late Edmund J. Burke and Gladys Burke (Albro). After graduating from Cranston High School, she married Clifford McKenna in 1941 and they lived in East Greenwich, R.I., until 1987, when they retired to St. Augustine. She retired from Apex Inc., in Warwick, R.I., where she was a personnel manager.

In St. Augustine Lillian was active with the Woman"s Club, the Council on Aging and St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Lillian was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Clifford McKenna, in 2005, and her son Barry McKenna in 2006. More than anything else, Lillian, being an only child, loved and enjoyed many great times with her five children and all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved children, Kathleen Scanlon and her partner, Keith Moncrief, of Maryville, Tenn., Dennis McKenna and his wife, Cindy, of North Yarmouth, Maine, Paula McKenna and her partner, Vonnie Carlett, of Palm Coast, Fla., and Joan Egan and her husband, Kevin, of St. Augustine. She also is survived by her 11 wonderful grandchildren, Jennifer Scott (Scotty), Burke McKenna, Jeff McKenna, Elizabeth Scanlon (Daryl FeFee), John Scanlon (Raye Powell), April Barnes (Greg), Aloma Moncrief, Kristen Pope (Greg), Ryan McKenna, Kelsey Egan and Patrick Egan; and her precious seven great-grandchildren, Kristen Scott, Katie Scott, Hope FeFee, Joseph Scanlon, Jack Barnes, Cole Edmund Barnes and Lillian Pope.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at The Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, with the Rev. Jeff Johnston officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL or the Council on Aging, 180 Marine St., St. Augustine, FL 32084.

Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park is in charge of arrangements.^[1]
