Richard operated his own furniture store and funeral parlor in Milton Ontario with his newphew Charles H. Burling. Richard started his undertakers business in Weston, Ontario.
In 1891, Richard Burling, age 46 (born in Ontario) lived in Weston as an undertaker with Emma (37), H. Leslie (18), Roy (8) and Edith (6).[1]
He passed away in 1926.[2]
