Biography

Alonzo was born in 1832. He passed away in 1917. He is the son of John Burnham and Eliza Batchelder. His stepfather was John B. Kingsbury

1832. "Her [mother is Eliza Batchelder] son, Alonzo Luke Burnham, chose to be called by the name of his step-father [Kingsbury]; he went to California at the time of the gold discovery; now living at Santa Rosa, Cal., on a fruit ranch; married, but has no children." [1]

Also of interest, the couple immediately after Alonzo is the Lameneths. The wife, Sophia Lameneth also lists her POB as Cape, South Africa and her parents were born in France (father) and Holland (mother).
This suggests that these two women are sisters.
Also worth noting is the each woman has what appears to be noted as an adopted daughter. Each woman also is listed as the mother of 0 children on the 1900 US Census.
