Biography

When Sarah Catherine Burrell was born about 1841, in Clementsvale, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada, her father, John Balcom Burrell, was 31 and her mother, Mary Ann Berry, was 33. She married David Allen Fraser on 15 March 1861, in Clementsvale, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 5 daughters. She died on 19 June 1909, in her hometown, at the age of 69, and was buried in Clementsvale, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The death of Mrs David Fraser occurred at her home at Princedale, Annapolis County on Saturday, June 19th, aged 67 years.

She had been a consistent member of the Baptist Church for upwards of 49 years.

She is survived by her husband and 4 daughters: Mrs Zenas Sanford of Princedale; Mrs Valentine Long of Clementsvale; Mrs Maynard Brown of East Cambridge, Mass. and Miss Hattie who is now home; also 2 sons, Norman and John, both of whom reside in Allston, Mass.; also 5 sisters and 3 brothers of whom Mrs Elizabeth Berry and Wm. Burrill reside in Bear River.
