Biography

Rachel (Burril) George is a part of US Black heritage.

Rachel Burril was born about 1840[1] in Pennsylvania[1]. She was the child[1] of Sarah Frye and James Burril, the wife and widow[2] of Mr. George, and the sibling[1] of Civil War veteran Sylvester Burrell of the famous 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry.

Residences

  • 1850: Columbia, Pennsylvania with her parents and siblings[1]

Death

She passed away in 1910 and is buried at Uniondale Colored Cemetery near Uniontown, Pennsylvania.[2]
