Ronald was born 15 June, 1920, the son of Harry Burtenshaw and Lucy Borrott.

He was baptised on 12 September, 1920 at St George's Church in Worthing, Sussex, England.

A year later, Ronald was with his mother Lucy visiting his maternal uncle, Ernest Borrott and family.

As a 19 year old, Ronald was living at home, 'Broadview' in Worthing, Sussex and working as a Junior Tester, Aero Research, Areonautical Engineering Eng. His father, Harry and two siblings were there too.

After World War 2, Ronald married Patricia Cleverly in Oxford, England.

He died suddenly at Chester Royal Infirmary in Cheshire 6 February, 1980.

He was buried in Durrington Cemetery, Worthing, West Sussex, where his parents are also.

Ronald's obituary described him as the much loved husband of Pat and for any memorial donations to be given to the Worthing Littlehampton and District Spastic Society, Pavilion Road Worthing, West Sussex.

Pat died in 3 April, 1991

and was buried with Ron.
