Biography

John Bush is a part of US Black heritage.

John was born about 1838 in Ohio. He was the son of Sandy Bush.

In 1850, John (14) was the second eldest of 10 children in the home of Sandy and Margaret Bush in Marion in Mercer County.^[1]

John married Josephine M Bina[sic] on 25 March 1868 in Shelby, Ohio, United States.^[2]

In 1870 John Bush was a practicing physician in Van Buren, Ohio. He and his wife, Josephine, and their infant daughter, Margaret, were all natives of Ohio.^[3] The family would relocate to German, Ohio and in 1880 John and Josephine had four children 10 years and under.^[4]

In 1900 John and Mary J Bush were living in a home they owned on Wisconsin Street in Toledo, Ohio. John was still working as a physician.^[5]

John Bush, a physician, died at the age of 74 on December 21, 1909 in Toledo, Ohio. He was born in April, 1835, in Marion, Ohio, the son of Sandy Bush. He was buried December 23 in Woodlawn Cemetery.^[6]
