Biography

Elijah Sylvester Bussell was born on April 24, 1894 in Tennessee, United States, son of John Bussell (1857–1911) and Seraptha Jane Herron (1864–1931).[1]

In 1900, Elijah (6) was living in DeKalb, Tennessee. [2]

In 1910, Eliga S (16) was in the household of his father, John, in Civil District 8, DeKalb, Tennessee. [3]

Elijah registered for the draft for World War I. [4]

Elijah (22) married Ruth Havana Smith (18) (born on August 22, 1898 in DeKalb; daughter of William Vance Smith) about 1917 in Tennessee.

In 1920, Elijah (26) was living in Civil District 8, De Kalb, Tennessee. [5]

In 1930, Lige (36) was living in District 08, DeKalb. [6]

In 1940, Elijah (46) was living in Peeled Chestnut, Civil District 6, White, Tennessee. [7]

Elijah died on November 11, 1981 in Baxter, Putnam, Tennessee, aged 87. He was buried in Dobbs Cemetery, Baxter.[8] [9] [1]
