Biography

Lelar Mary Jane Butler was born October 16, 1887 in Randolph County, Alabama

She married Monroe Nelson Burden on December 14, 1902. Lelar was 15.

Together they had eleven children. Unfortunately the first born died around age one.

My dad, Curtis, used to talk about his mother being left handed and how odd it looked when she would wring a chicken's neck with that hand.

On April 19, 1961 she died and was buried at Mt. Vernon Congregational Church Cemetery, where she had been a member for many years.[1]

Not that I know of, but most of my relatives are from Alabama and Georgia. I was just cleaning up the Alabama Suggestion list and saw it needed to be merged!

Edit: I just did a relationship to me and it says that we are 13th Cousins! LOL
