Alberta Minerva Butler Roberts was born 25 Jul 1872 in Villa Ridge, Illinois of Abner Butler and Frances Kennedy

She married William B. Roberts who was a much older man than she (b.1837.) They had a daughter Imogene in 1904.

In 1910 Imo was living with her parents, but in 1920 she was living with her grandparents. It can be assumed her father was dead, but Bertie did not die until 5 Apr 1928 and was buried 2 days later in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes, Pulaski, Illinois.

Bertie Roberts Dies in Pulaski Bertie Roberts passed away at home in Pulaski Thursday after a sickness of pneumonia. Mrs. Roberts is a widow, her husband preceding her in death several years ago. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Butler of Pulaski. She had many friends in Pulaski and throughout the county who regret to learn of her death, besides her parents, she is survived by one daughter, Miss Imogene Roberts, who is a member of the office of the Illinois Lumber Yards in the Drainage District. Mrs. Roberts is a niece of Mrs. A. W. Lewis, who was at the home of her daughter, Effie Hurst, of this city.

The funeral will probably be held Saturday, although definite arrangements have not been made.

The Mounds Independent, Friday, 13 Apr 1928: Funeral Services for Mrs. Roberts Held Sunday Funeral services for Mrs. Bertie Roberts, of Pulaski, who died Thursday, April 5, at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. R. Sneed, were held Sunday at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with interment in Rosehill Cemetery. Mrs. Roberts was a sister-in-law of W. C. V. Prather of this city.

Miss Imogene Roberts, of Cairo, was called here (Pulaski) the last of the week by the illness and death of her mother, Mrs. Bertie Roberts.
