Biography

Wilhelm, whose sister is Anna Berg, died of an illness or accident, at 14 years old. His biological father was Josef Berg. His sister Anna was fond of William, but told her nearest relatives nothing about him.

By the time Anna left Germany in 1906, I believe Wilhelm had already died. I want to find his death information, to discover what disease or accident he died from AND I want to learn more about his families before his birth.

If you can research it, I would really like to know more. I don't know German well enough to attempt it.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Wilhelm by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Wilhelm:

The death register doesn't say why he died - it just sais he died in the städt. Krankenhaus (city hospital) in Karlsruhe - maybe the church burial registers hold some information about the cause of death!

This might be a totally different Wilhelm but I'll add it just in case ;)

Here's a gravestone for German soldiers who died in WWI

There's a Wilhelm von Berg who died in 1914 in Menen, Westfanders, Belgium (k.a meaning kein alter=no exact age or year or date of birth is known)

Deutsche Kriegsgräberstätte, Menen (Westflandern, Belgien)
