Raymond was born in 1926. He was the son of Thomas Béchard and Rosanna Belisle. He passed away in 2016.


OBITUARY

A resident of Chatham, Raymond Bechard passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the age of 90.

Born in Pain Court, son of the late Thomas and Rose Anna (Belisle) Bechard.

Beloved husband to Jeannette Bechard (nee Maure) for 65 years.

Loving Father to Annette (Jack) Lambe of Chatham, Diane (the late Alphonse, 2014) Gignac of Chatham, Paul (Becky) Bechard of Chatham, Thomas (Anne-Marie) Bechard of Pain Court, Robert (Carrie) Bechard of Pain Court, Suzanne (Dan) Demers of Dover Centre, Aline (Jean Guy) King of London and Janice (Dan) Meyerink of Pain Court.

Beloved Grandfather to 19 Grandchildren and 36 Great-Grandchildren.

Raymond is predeceased by 1 grandson, 6 Brothers and 7 Sisters.

Ray retired from Imperial Oil as a Farm Fuel Agent. He was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Pain Court #9693 and an Army Veteran of the Second World War. He was an avid clock collector, and repairman, and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Family to receive friends on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculée Conception Catholic Church, 24156 Winter Line, Pain Court with a Funeral Mass to follow visiting at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Michael Michon as officiant. Cremation to take place with a Private Family Interment in Immaculée Conception Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association and the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, in memory of Raymond, would be appreciated by the family.
