Biography
Carl was born around 1743 in the Hjortsberga, Kronoberg County, Sweden. Per his death record, he was the son of Börje Germundsson and Ingeborg Larsdotter.
Death Record reads: Former church warden now tenant Carl Börjersson in Dufvelycke born 11 Decemb. 1743 in Hjortsberga at a mill under Engeholm father Börje Germundsson, Mother Ingeborg Larsd[otter]. Got in the younger years to Kronoberg and served with county governor for Kronoberg, Peter Psilander Next he served at several farms last with the pastor (kyrkoherden) Sam. Linnaeus here. Married to the girl Ingjerd Jönsdotter from Dufvelycke. Had 3 children, 2 of whom live in [reasonably] well-to-do conditions on their own land. Lived since he married 2 years in Brommehult. There-after Dufvelycke. A skilled builder and carpenter. Built several significant single buildings.
