Emaline married William J. Bryant, son of Edward Briant and Hannah, on 5 Dec 1852 in , Appanoose Co., Iowa. William was born in 1816 in , , Kentucky. He died after 1880 in , Appanoose Co., Iowa.
His surname appears to be Brianst on the marriage record, but is shown as Briant on the 1850 census but as Bryant on later censuses. He lived in Douglas Twp., Appanoose Co., Iowa at the time of the 1860, 1870, and 1880 censuses. He had children by his previous marriage to Caroline.
William and Emaline had the following children:
