Biography

"John Camden, my great-great-great-great-grandfather, was a farmer and settled at the foot of DuPriest Mountain on the waters of Big Piney River, now Nelson County, near what was later known as Friar Post Office and "Jack's Hill" sometimes referred to as "Jack's Back." Here John and Meonie reared five sons and three daughters: John F (also known as Jack or Jackson), Benjamin (married Nancy Biddlecomb), William W (married Jane Hight), James (married Polly Phillips), Wyatt (married Polly Hill), Nancy married Chappell Davenport), Elizabeth (married John Hight) and Sally (married Joseph Eschew.)"
