1871 Census: Alexander (72) living with Isabel (34), Christena (28), Mary (22), Catherine (21), Lauchlin (20), Donald (18), Michael (25), Mary Ann (26), Mary Ellen (4) and John (2). [1]
1881 Census: Alexander as 95, but does not seem to be a different person or family. Wife Isabella (75), son Lauchlin (25), son Donald (23), daughters Mary (29), Catherine (26), Christena (30) and Joseph McVarish (14), described as "farmers son". [2]
