"Andy remained a bachelor, and was the last survivor of the family in Mound City, and actually died in Alexander County as he was in a nursing home in Cairo. I remember him, as I delivered groceries to the nursing home where he was.

In the 1930 census, AC is living with two brothers, a sister and a half-sister, carpenter at ship yards.

His occupation was listed as a ship's carpenter."
