Ella B. Campbell was born on Sep 20, 1882 in Iredell County, North Carolina. She died on Feb 5, 1948 in North Wilkesboro, Wilkes County, North Carolina.^[1]

Parents: William Milas Campbell (1858-1936) and Sarah Ann Mitchell (1864-1887)

After her mother's death, she was adopted by James Rufus Combs (1847-1923) and Julia Ann Johnson (1858-?). She was living with them in 1900 and both she and her husband lived with them in 1910.^[2]
