Biography

Carl was born in Fellingsbro parish 24 March 1797 to the smith Carl Abrahamsson at Storbo bruk and his wife Stina Olofsdotter.[1][2][3]

Carl and his brothers adopted the surname Brosell when they left home to work for master smith Petter Broström. Carl was there 1818-1821.[4] In 1824 Carl arrived from Fellingsbro to Gäsjö in Norberg parish.[5]

Journeyman smith Carl Brosell in Gäsjö, Norberg parish, married Maria Jansdotter Lindvall 4 December 1825[6] She was ten years older than Carl and had a son, Johan Olof Dinclau, born out of wedlock in 1813. Carl and Maria had a single son, Per Gustaf, born in Gäsjö 29 February 1727.[7]

In 1834 Carl Brosell with wife and son turn up at Ekeby Bruk in Fellingsbro. They leave for Arboga in 1838.[8] In Arboga they live at Garpströmmen, where Carl works as a smith.[9] Son Per Gustav Brosell moved out in 1847. Maria Lindvall died from consumption 12 February 1848.[10] Stina Lotta Sjöqvist served in the household at this time. Her daughter Anna Sophia, born 23 December 1848, is entered on the same page in the book, although Stina Lotta had married Karl Johan Fröberg 27 October 1848 and presumably moved out.

When he was getting old, Carl Brosell worked as a firewatch at Jäders Bruk.[11][12] He died 15 March 1870.[13]
