Biography

Marie Philomène Caron was born on 30 Jan 1841 in Saint-Roch-des-Aulnaies parish in L'Islet, Bas-Canada. She was the daughter of Augustin Caron and Desanges Dufour. Sponsors at Philomène's baptism were Augustin Caron and Julie Bélanger.

At age 21 Philomène married Elzéar Marquis on 18 Nov 1862 in Saint-Patrice parish in Rivière-du-Loup, Canada East. There was one known child born into this marriage.

Philomène Caron died at age 50 on 20 Dec 1891 in Saint-Patrice parish in Rivière-du-Loup, Québec, Canada; she was buried three days later on 23 Dec in Saint-Patrice parish cemetery.
