William was born in 1907, the son of Ernest Carpenter and Maria Englebrecht.[1]
He married Isobel Jamieson in 1935.[2]
He passed away in 1943 as a result of an accident in the railway yard where he worked as a shunter [3] [4] and was buried in Orowaiti Cemetery, Westport, West Coast, New Zealand.[5]
