William died on September 16, 1884, in Union, Jackson, West Virginia, United States, aged 69.
According to the probate of the father Richard Carr, there were only 2 minor children in this family and they were Samuel and Young. Therefore William Carr born 1813 was not a child of Richard Carr and Agnes McAdoo
