Biography

Sarah Carr was born on 14 April 1762 in Little Egg Harbor Township, Ocean, New Jersey to Caleb Carr and Sarah Ridgway.[1]

Sarah married Job Haines, son of Benjamin Haines and Elizabeth Roberts on 15 October 1788 at the Mount Holly Meeting House, under care of Mt. Holly Monthly Meeting. [1]

Sarah and Job had the following children:

  1. Elizabeth Haines b 20 August 1789; m Isaac W. Haines[1]
  2. Job Haines b 7 September 1791; m Phebe Hancock [1]
  3. Jane Haines b 17 November 1793 d 2 September 1884; m 13 May 1813 James Moon [1]
  4. Sarah Haines b 20 September 1795; m 11 November 1830 John Collins [1]
  5. Ann Haines b 20 September 1797 d 25 September 1798, buried Evesham FBG [1]
  6. Caleb Haines b 17 April 1799; m Lydia Warrington
  7. Lydia Haines b 3 June 1801 d 1 January 1846; m 17 May 1838 John Needles, son of William Needles and Elizabeth Allen [1]
  8. Amy Haines b 23 July 1804 Mt. Laurel, NJ d 23 November 1873; m 23 August 1832 Benjamin Albertson, son of Jacob Albertson and Mary Roberts. [1]

Sarah Haines passed away on 20 August 1824 and is buried at the Evesham Friends Burial Ground in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey.[1]
