Biography
Susan R. Carson was born to John Henderson Carson and Elizabeth S. Griffen Anderson Carson in Marshall County, Mississippi. She married Oscar F. Marshall[1], they had one daughter, Viva L. Marshall,born July 10, 1877 and died October 29, 1899. Viva married James Frederick Harlow July 12, 1896. Viva had two sons, Hollis Evans Harlow and James Percy Harlow. Viva's husband died the same day her youngest son was born.
They had a son Walter L. Marshall born March 12, 1875 and died February 28, 1905 in Avery, Red River County, Texas, buried in Avery Cemetery, Avery, Red River County, Texas.
