Her father died in 1893. The following year, at the age of 25 she married 29 year old Grocer Ward Laughton (the son of Robert Laughton) on 14 May 1894 at St Luke, West Kilburn, Westminster, England, after Banns[2]. William John Carver and Ada Emily Laughton were the witnesses.
The following was printed on page 5 of the Kilburn Times dated 19 May 1894:
INTERESTING WEDDING AT ST. LUKE'S.- An interesting wedding was witnessed at St. Luke’s Church, Kilburn-lane, on Whit Monday morning, the contracting parties being Mr. W. Laughton, of Harrow-road, and Miss Jessie Carvers, of Fernhead-road. The Rev. C. Dale Williams performed the ceremony, and there was a large attendance of relatives and friends at the church. The bride was attired in a light silver grey dress and bonnet en suite, and she carried a large bouquet of orange blossoms and lillies. The five bridesmaids were attired in light dresses, and carried baskets of choice flowers. The best man was the brother of the bride. The wedding breakfast took place at Fernhead-road.[3]
Unlikely they had children.
Sadly Jessie passed away in 1895 at the age of about 26[4]. She was buried at Kensal Green Cemetery, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Greater London[5][6].
