11th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry was organized in Madison County, Kentucky, with 410 officers and men. Many of its members were raised in Webster, Madison, and Hopkins counties. It skirmished in Kentucky and Tennessee, then rode with J H Morgan into Indiana and Ohio. Most of the men were captured at Buffington Island on July 19 and some at New Lisbon on July 26, 1863. The unit was not reorganized.
