- Firth of Lorne / Emille Lassen / Fort de France was a three masted iron vessel of 837 tons. She was built in 1878 at Glasgow by Dobie & Co. Her captain was Captain J. Cowper
- Her first owners were J. Spenser & Co. of Glasgow.
- In 1879 under the command of Captain Stevens she sailed from the U.K. on 6th November 1879 and arrived in Lyttyleton on 19th march 1880
- She was acquired by Lassen of Hamburg in 1899 and had her name changed to Emilie Lassen.
- She changed hands again in 1901 her owners now being Union Coloniaux who re-named her Fort de France.
- She was scrapped at the end of 1923.
