Firth of Lorne / Emille Lassen / Fort de France was a three masted iron vessel of 837 tons. She was built in 1878 at Glasgow by Dobie & Co. Her captain was Captain J. Cowper
Her first owners were J. Spenser & Co. of Glasgow.
In 1879 under the command of Captain Stevens she sailed from the U.K. on 6th November 1879 and arrived in Lyttyleton on 19th march 1880
She was acquired by Lassen of Hamburg in 1899 and had her name changed to Emilie Lassen.
She changed hands again in 1901 her owners now being Union Coloniaux who re-named her Fort de France.
She was scrapped at the end of 1923.
