Louis Head is an unincorporated community in Shelburne County, Nova Scotia.

It was settled in 1759 by New England Planter, Ira Pride, and named after a Mi'kmaq known as Louis. Loyalist settlers arrived in 1783, and other New England Planters, mostly from Liverpool, Nova Scotia. Louis Head was largely populated by fishermen and shipbuilders. It was succeeded by Louis Head, Nova Scotia, upon Confederation in 1867.
