- Zagórze - a former village, since 1954 the western part of the city of Łowicz, covering the area around Zagórska Street. From the west it borders with the village of Jastrzębia. Formerly an independent town (cologne). From 1867 in the commune of Dąbkowice. In the interwar period, it belonged to the Łowicz poviat in the province of Warsaw. On October 20, 1933, the Zagórze cluster was created within the boundaries of the Dąbkowice commune, consisting of the villages of Zagórze and Zagórskie Górki[2]. On April 1, 1939, together with the entire Łowicz poviat, it was transferred to the province of of Lodz[3]. During World War II in the General Government, in the Lowitsch poviat in the Warsaw district. In 1943, Zagórze had 761 inhabitants[4]. After the war, Zagórze returned to the Łowicz poviat in the Łódź Voivodeship, where it was one of the 22 districts of the Dąbkowice commune[5]. On September 21, 1953, the commune of Dąbkowice was renamed the commune of Jamno[6]. Due to the reorganization of the rural administration in the autumn of 1954, Zagórze was incorporated into Łowicz[1].[1]
