Jesse was born in Tennessee in 1868 [1]. In 1880, he resided in White County, Arkansas with his parents, William Butler Cavnar and Martha Ann Charity (Dodds) Cavnar, and siblings [2]. He married Julia Beatrice Roe in 1899, and settled in Oklahoma City to raise their family [3][4]. Their children:

Woodrow Welford "Woody" Cavnar (1914-1997)
He served as Oklahoma County Sheriff from 1923-1924 [5]. He passed away in 1953 and was laid to rest in the Rose Hill BUrial Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma [6].
