Biography

This profile is part of the chadwick Name Study.

Ephraim was a whaler and came to Carteret, NC with Samuel Chadwick and one other to start the whaling industry in North Carolina in or around 1726. Samuel Chadwick received a license from the King of England to hunt whales. This is written in "Grandpa's a Whaler, by Amy Muse" in the 1960's. Ephraim was "lost at sea" in 1762.
