Biography

Gladys was born in 1882. She is the daughter of William Chalk and Charlotte White. She was christened on 29 October that year in Calstock.^[1]

At the time of the 1891 census, she was in Wilden, Bedfordshire, in the home of her Chalk Grandfather.^[2]

She is in Podington, Bedfordshire (possibly actually in Highham Ferrers) with her widowed grandmother in 1901.^[3]

In 1911, she is in the home of her aunt Mary Chalk, in Bedford.^[4] (wasn't she ever allowed to live with her parents?)

She died, unmarried, in Bedfordshire in 1954.^[5]
