Biography
Melissa was the wife of Peter Henry Preston. They were married on October 15, 1844, in Darlington Township, Durham County, Ontario, Canada. Their children were Hannah Jane, Benjamin Louis, Ruby Melissa, James Henry, Charles C., Harry Bernard, John Leonard, and Francis L.
After Melissa's death, Peter married a 2nd time to Catherine Leeler on April 27, 1867. He eventually returned to his native Canada.
