He married Bertelle Booth some time before he registered for the World War I draft on 5 June 1917 in Dunkirk, New York.[5]
He died 9 Sept 1928 in Dunkirk, New York.[6] He is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Jordan, Onondaga County, New York.[7]
