Biography

Francis Chandos-Pole was born on 4 Aug 1864 in Park Hall, Barlborough, Derbyshire and christened in Radbourne on 25 Mar 1866.^[1][2]

In 1871 he is with his family in Brighton^[3]

In 1881, he was a pupil living in the house of the Vicar of White Lackington, Somerset.^[4]

He married Maud Swinhoe in Swindon in 1890^[5]

In 1891 he was living on "own means" in Little Coxwell, Berkshire with his new wife and her brother, John, was visiting.^[2]

By 1901, he has moved to Thurlestone, Devon^[6]

In the 1911 census, they don't have any visitors!^[7]

He died on 17 January 1917 ^[8]

His wife paid for a carved Rood (crucifixion) for the church in Thurlestone in his memory.^[9]
