Emma (Chappell) Dixon is a part of US Black heritage.
Emma Chappell, daughter of John H Chappell & Fannie Chappell, was born on 18 May 1915 in Abbeville, South Carolina, United States.[1] In the 1920 census Emma (age 5) was the daughter of John Chappell in Long Cane, Abbeville, South Carolina.[2] In the 1930 census Emma (age 15) was the single sister of Ben Chappell in Hodges, Greenwood, South Carolina, United States.[3]
Emma (age 18) married Ruel Dixon on 4 Jun 1931 in Greenwood County, South Carolina, United States.[4] Emma and Ruel were in a divorce record in 1943 in Duval County, Florida.[5] In the 1950 census Emma (age 34) was the separated head of household in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.[6]
Emma died (age 61) in September 1976. She had been living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.[7]
