Biography

1875 - Emma Rowena Peters is born in Massachusetts January 29, 1875 to Henry W. Peters and Emma Snow. [1]

1895 - at age 20, Emma married Stephen Ephraim Peters becoming Emma Rowena (nee Peters) Peters. Emma Rowena Peters (Ephraim’s wife) is from Boston, she grew up in the Roslindale section of Boston. Her father is Henry W Peters he was in charge of all of the horses in the horse drawn trolley system for the City of Boston. West End Street Railway that eventually merged with other railway systems which is now the Mass Bay Transit Authority "The T" per Boston Residents. He was very prominent person in Boston. Emma Rowena’s mom is Emma Snow is from Boston. I am still unsure how Ephraim’s Peters are related to Henry W. Peters’ family. Several people on Ancestry are still trying to figure out the connection. Ephraim and Emma’s baby, Emma Blanche was only about 4 months when Ephraim died. Blanche was born in March and Ephraim died in August 1901. When Blanche married Frederick Oberacker (of German descent) (also an inventor), Henry W. Peters and Emma Snow Peters built a beautiful home for the newlyweds in Needham Mass. [2]


1898 - Immigrated from the U.S.A. in 1898 at age 22. [3]

1898 - an infant daughter Ruth dies on May 5, 1898.

1900 - a daughter Emma Blanche is born.

1901 - Her husband, Eph, dies from a fall.

Marries Frederick Oberacker.

Lives in a house in Needham, Mass.

1930 - age 55, died December 29 in Massachusetts. Buried Mount Hope Cemetery, Mattapan Suffolk Country, Massachusettes, USA. [4]
