Chace-104 and Chase-7497 appear to represent the same person because: Same person. I propose that we merge to Chase rather than Chace because of the records that suggest she was born "Chase" and, more fundamentally, because the father is "Chase," not "Chace." Thanks for your efforts. Christopher Smart (bio-related).

The spelling on a father's profile should not be used as the basis for selecting the spelling of LNAB: only spelling on a document should be used. Arnold standardized spellings in his VR of Rhode Island, so that source should never be used purely for determining the spelling of the LNAB. I uploaded an image of the original Warwick town record to her father's profile. It is not contemporaneous with her birth either, but unless there is a Quaker birth record out there or something, we probably won't do better than the town record. So I agree that "Chase" should be used and that they are duplicates.
