Biography
Henrietta or Henriette Charlotte was born about 1700, the child of Alexander Chastaigner and Elizabeth Buretel. In her letters she signs her name H. Charlotte or Charlotte.[1]
About 1717 she married Captain Nathaniel Broughton, and they had children Thomas (1717-1751), Nathaniel, Alexander, Henrietta (m. Paul Jenys), Anne (m. Dr. William Rind), and Charlotte (m. Henry Izard).[1]
Henrietta predeceased her husband since she is not mentioned in his October 1754 Will.[2]
