• Mary was born about 1824 in Quebec, Canada.^[1] Mary was born to the parents of Sophia Elizabeth Stuart and Lt. Gen. John Chester.^[2][3]

• Mary was married on the 18th of February 1846, to the Reverend Charles Walter Bagot, the son of the Lady Harriet Villiers and the Rt. Rev. and Hon. Richard Bagot.^[2] They were married at Blithfield, Staffordshire, England.^[4][5][6]
