I am interested in the Odom-Harrelson connection. As you know, my ggrandfather, Daniel Taylor Chisum married Sarah Caroline Odom..daughter of Isaac and Lucy Blocker. Daniel was raised in the Harrelson household after Mary Ann and Elijah Harrelson married..probably about 1855. Daniel had a half-sister;Rebecca Caroline, who married a Worley. His other sisters were Sara(probably married T. J. Green), Elizabeth, and Eliza who was born in 1875...I am fairly certain that Eliza is the "Lizer" Odom who is in the Foreman's funeral home records for 1938-1939 and I think,she is listed as married to G.W. Odom on the 1910 Covington County census..it gives her age as 34..which would make her birthdateis the same as the age as Elijah and Mary Ann's youngest child.Please check the records of Foreman's youself and then, look at the 1910 Covington census..and see if you agree. Odom..but I believe her husband was the G.W. Odom(son of Benjamin Odom) listed on the 1910 Covington County census..On the Odom family tree, it lists her last name as Harrison..but I believe that is a mistake..I think she was Eliza Harrelson Odom..if you have documentation to dispute my theory I would like to see it.I know that G.W. and Eliza had at least seven children and that some of their descendents have a family Bible or records..the two youngest ones on the 1910 census were Grover and Dozier. I have his original homesteader's deed signed by Grover Cleveland. Too, I have a copy of his death record... I obtained that from the Andalusia library (was a funeral home record). I've also got a copy of the obituary in the newspaper in Andalusia. My Uncle Raymond Chisum said the T. stood for "Taylor." I was wondering where Hugh Chisholm and Mary Ann got the middle name Taylor from (Mary Ann was married to Hugh Chisholm before she married Elijah Harrelson.) Emoch Chisum's middle name is Huey after "Hugh" Donie's real name is Rydona... found this on a census in the Andalusia Library. Do you have any Harrelson pictures? Do you know who might have the Harrelson family Bible?}.
