Biography
Jens was born in 1767. He passed away in 1843. There seems to be an uncertainty about his marriage date. It looks like he took the name of the farm Hougaard. If you are unfamiliar with the tradition of farm names, look it up because it's very common in Norway, and also in some places and times in Denmark and Sweden.
