Biography

Carmelo Cimino is a Corleone native resident, the son of Ignacio and Rosa Cimino. I estimate he is born around 1736, twenty years before he marries.

Carmelo marries Calogera Trumbatore on 17 July 1756. His parents have both died by this time.

Carmelo and Calogera have at least three children: Lucia (c. 1761), Rosa (c. 1763), and Ignacio (c. 1778).

I estimate that Lucia and Ignacio are each 20 years old when they marry for the first time.

Rosa is named after her paternal grandmother, as is traditional for the first born daughter. I estimate Rosa is no older than thirty when she marries.

Lucia marries Mercurio Puccio on 14 January 1781. Her father has died by this time.

Rosa marries Maestro Mercurio de Luca on 30 September 1792.[1]

Ignacio marries at least twice, first to Anna Maria Grizzaffi, on 3 June 1798.

Calogera dies at age 65 (b. 1739) on 14 January 1805.

Ignacio remarries, to Angela di Liberto, on 20 June 1813. Ignacio's parents have both died by this time.

Lucia, reportedly age 65 (b. 1764) and called Lucia Trumbatore (her mother's surname) in this record, dies on 31 January 1829. She is the widow of Mercurio Puccio. Her late mother is called Calogera "Liutino" in this record.
